I Want To Get Fruity....

Ok, so this post has been brewing over the last few weeks, primarily due to my busyness in starting 2 new jobs - Yay!

Now I'm hoping that my post title was intriguing, as my thoughts on what I'm writing about are still developing and therefore would love to know what you think (Reply at the bottom).

I feel like in entering into 2012, that there are a lot of my friends, family, local churches, as well as the global church that are believing for promises that they have not seen yet, but have been hoping for.
See, I have this undeniable feeling that we are going to start seeing the uncontainable fruit of God being produced in your life! Yes - your life!
I have seen over the last few years, so many people come to realise that God is uncontainable within our buildings and meetings and people are on the adventure of seeing God spill out of their experiences, leading people who don't know Him into experiences of Him! And the best thing about it is......... that its really hard work and is going to wear you down until the day you die!!! NNNNOOO....... actually the truth is that its really easy because whether we feel like we do well or not at sharing who He is, our Father is so proud of us in who He has made us to be. He celebrates like crazy even when we take a risk and feel like we fall on our face!
It is most certainly time for an abundantly Fruity Season!

Now I have been thinking; do I just want to have loads of fruit so I look good on the outside and people think wow look at him go........Well I'm sure there is part of me that definitely wants that. I guess being human means that my motives will never be perfect and I know I would be lying if I said any different. But the thing I'm realising is, that, It's really not a bad thing for God to use me/you or for me/you to ask Him to do that! The truth is that He is looking for the ones who will say yes, take risks and make mistakes knowing that's its Him who enables us to get back up and go again, when we don't think we can. The ones who may go too far rather than not go far enough! He will use you and desperately wants to!

Its humble to tell others about what God does through you, not proud - because it's not you! So why not share with people the things that you have taken a risk in, and not had them turn out as great as you dreamed.... I reckon before long, the things you dream of will start becoming real!

And lastly.... How are you doing with being fruity?? Do you want to get a bit more fruity? I hope so..... until next time.

Adios Amados!

SA - Durban, Lekke bru....

Ok so here I am on the plane, after spending a week in Durban flying to Cape Town. It’s been a great week that has been reasonably packed with different things going on including things to do with Harvest church led by George and his wife Lianne Gourlay, Julian has been ministering (giving out speaking/prophesying and counselling) at, getting a bit of time to see the city of Durban and also spending time with our wonderful host family, Louie and Mandy and their kids.

The week started out with me arriving being very tired as I can’t sleep on planes and it meant that after roughly 20 hours traveling and not a lot of sleep I was pretty snookered! I was met at arrivals by a guy from the church called Darren, an absolutely great guy who I later found out was a awesome guitarist and worship leader as well as being someone who loves God’s creation and takes groups of men on trips out on weekends called ‘Untamed’, last time they did one of these they found footprints from a lion going though the middle of the camp in the morning! Crazy!

I met Julian when I got to the Harvest building and he was speaking at a school called GSSM. The school is very similar to a school I did in Bedford, UK in 2009/10, learning about God’s heart for us and about things of the Spirit of God. Julian spoke at the school Monday - Thursday and really helped the students come into some great encounters with God and encouraged them with prophesying over individuals and sharing stories about what God is doing.

There were meetings throughout the week which we went to and then we usually ate out somewhere afterwards. Something which always strikes me with Julian and struck me with George and the others was their generosity towards each other. It really has challenged me in terms of how willing I am to give out of what I have and not hold on to it in an orphan mindset, where I feel like I need to gather and collect just in case, rather than being generous with what I have. It’s all God’s anyway and He will provide for all I need! :-) We ate at some great restaurants and on Wednesday night we went to an African restaurant called Moyo, where we had out faces painted and the was African entertainment and I ate springbok (a deer type buck thing, which is a national symbol for the South African rugby team). We also went with our hosts Louie and Mandy to a revolving restaurant in Durban and I had crocodile :-)

On the friday evening I spoke to the youth at Harvest church about being significant in identity and purpose and it went really well. Lots of people responded to receive more of God’s love and a young guy decided to respond to Jesus and give his life to Him! Yehahh! (Salvation Dance - :D)

I am going to continue to write about the weekend in the next post so keep your eyes peeled bru! Lekke.....

Back from Durham....

Hey guys,

Here I am getting around to updating regarding my trip to Durham, the conference we attended was called Freelife and was hosted by Emmanuel church.
On the wednesday, Julian and I flew up from Stansted airport to Newcastle then got picked up by the church leader, Alan, to go on to Durham. We arrived at the very first meeting which began at about 7.45pm. Marc Dupont was the main speaker throughout the conference and did all the evening meetings. It was a great time where everyone there was just going for the prize! Some of the worship times were brilliant as we entered the glory of God. :-) I stayed with a great guy called Dave and he is currently doing FP at the church, it was great spending some time with him, getting to know him.

Something that was really great was that there were lots of different churches from around the area there and there was such a great sense of unity! :-)
On the Saturday there were workshop/seminars by each of the speakers one before and after lunch (each speaker did the same workshop twice so people could benefit from two). Julian was doing a seminar on 'Sharpening your prophetic gift' which I helped him on, I spoke about words of knowledge and my experience of them. i really enjoyed speaking in the setting as it was really relaxed and a fun feel to it!

After being with all of the guys from Durham, especially Dave, we had made good relationships and I really felt like we had been on a journey with them. All round a really good time!

Now i am just getting prepared for going to South Africa on the 2nd May... I am really excited about going, I have never been to SA and have heard pretty much only good things from people who have! Today I have just got all my tickets printed up and readied for a week on monday! (As a little side I want to say thanks so much again to everyone who a contributed towards the flight cost - I have now recieved £515 - Wow! God provides)
Julian and I will be going to a few conferences one of which is this: Prophetic Encounters 2011
Also Julian has asked me to prepare a few bits to speak on whilst I'm there and I am going to speak on us being Significant in the Kingdom as children! I keep getting revelation of things to include which is really cool. :-)

I will hopefully blog again before I go, but until then AdiĆ³s Amados !

Cornwall not Poole .....

Hey guys, well here is the first post regarding my first trip away.

I originally had thought that the conference we were going to was in Poole, I was thinking sweet... not too long to drive maybe 3 and a half hours drive give or take... however I found out this was not the case, but actually the man leading the weekend (Matt Hosier) was from Poole, however..... the conference was in a small village/town in Kilkhampton, Cornwall. Roughly about 7 hours driving, so my guestimate was a little bit out! :-)

Anyway... what a brilliant weekend it was. I picked up Julian in the morning and set off down the M1, after a couple of stop offs at services and a chat to a guy who had this crazy windpowered lyingdown bike/trike that he could go up to 50mph down the beach on, we arrived in Kilkhampton.

Just having some time with Julian to chat, understand and know each other a bit was so valuable and I really enjoyed it. Julian is such a genuine and happy person to be around, a really awesome dude! He spoke on the Saturday morning and evening and God was really there. In the evening meeting Julian got me up on my feet and I gave a couple of words to people which was a new experience for me, but was brilliant fun! :-)

For me the biglearn of the weekend among other things is that it is only by the grace that God gives that weare able to do anything from the very normal and sometimes boring things to the supernatural, life changing and inspiring kindom of heaven coming on earth.
Love it!

See you soon!

Fun Travelling Times.....

Hey guys, I thought I would share this with everyone as I originally emailed it out to people I have email contacts for, but I've heard that a few people would like to know a bit about what I'm up to recently so thought it would be a good idea to put it on here! :-) Copied below is the email I sent out:
'Hi everyone, I hope you are well.
I am emailing as I would love your support in a few specific things in my life that are coming up.
I was intending to speak to people individually but I keep forgetting so I thought the best way to communicate it was if I wrote an email.
So the reason I am emailing is because I have got a brilliant opportunity to travel with a great guy who is known well as a prophet and also has an incredible ability to bring and host the presence of God in meetings.
The opportunities are both in England (currently 4th -6th March & 24th -27th March) and also to South Africa in May (2nd -17th). There may be more dates coming up as well. I feel that God has instigated this opportunity for me and I am really excited at the opportunity to learn from someone who carries awesome gifts and a wealth of knowledge for me to learn from. I am going to be jumping in to all that God has got for me through this opportunity.
What I would really love, is that you would be praying for me, as God prepares my heart and I prepare myself for the trips. It would be brilliant if you could pray for:
- God to get my heart ready to receive and retain all that He has for me
- That I would keep a soft and open heart to be receiving and learning
- Protection and safety for the dates given
- Any other good things you want to pray for me are always appreciated!! :-)
Also, I would love you to consider whether you could help financially towards the ticket to South Africa, whether it is a small or large amount. I need to raise around £700 for the plane ticket. If you are not in a position to give, please could you pray that God provides for all I need.
Love to you all, and massively huge thanks for your prayers in advance.
May God get you with His outrageous love!!
Matt Davies :-D'
So there it is exciting stuff :-) I will keep you all updated on here and blog about the trips I go on.... one is already overdue from the first trip, but it will be with you soon! Love to you all. :-)
