Cornwall not Poole .....

Hey guys, well here is the first post regarding my first trip away.

I originally had thought that the conference we were going to was in Poole, I was thinking sweet... not too long to drive maybe 3 and a half hours drive give or take... however I found out this was not the case, but actually the man leading the weekend (Matt Hosier) was from Poole, however..... the conference was in a small village/town in Kilkhampton, Cornwall. Roughly about 7 hours driving, so my guestimate was a little bit out! :-)

Anyway... what a brilliant weekend it was. I picked up Julian in the morning and set off down the M1, after a couple of stop offs at services and a chat to a guy who had this crazy windpowered lyingdown bike/trike that he could go up to 50mph down the beach on, we arrived in Kilkhampton.

Just having some time with Julian to chat, understand and know each other a bit was so valuable and I really enjoyed it. Julian is such a genuine and happy person to be around, a really awesome dude! He spoke on the Saturday morning and evening and God was really there. In the evening meeting Julian got me up on my feet and I gave a couple of words to people which was a new experience for me, but was brilliant fun! :-)

For me the biglearn of the weekend among other things is that it is only by the grace that God gives that weare able to do anything from the very normal and sometimes boring things to the supernatural, life changing and inspiring kindom of heaven coming on earth.
Love it!

See you soon!

Fun Travelling Times.....

Hey guys, I thought I would share this with everyone as I originally emailed it out to people I have email contacts for, but I've heard that a few people would like to know a bit about what I'm up to recently so thought it would be a good idea to put it on here! :-) Copied below is the email I sent out:
'Hi everyone, I hope you are well.
I am emailing as I would love your support in a few specific things in my life that are coming up.
I was intending to speak to people individually but I keep forgetting so I thought the best way to communicate it was if I wrote an email.
So the reason I am emailing is because I have got a brilliant opportunity to travel with a great guy who is known well as a prophet and also has an incredible ability to bring and host the presence of God in meetings.
The opportunities are both in England (currently 4th -6th March & 24th -27th March) and also to South Africa in May (2nd -17th). There may be more dates coming up as well. I feel that God has instigated this opportunity for me and I am really excited at the opportunity to learn from someone who carries awesome gifts and a wealth of knowledge for me to learn from. I am going to be jumping in to all that God has got for me through this opportunity.
What I would really love, is that you would be praying for me, as God prepares my heart and I prepare myself for the trips. It would be brilliant if you could pray for:
- God to get my heart ready to receive and retain all that He has for me
- That I would keep a soft and open heart to be receiving and learning
- Protection and safety for the dates given
- Any other good things you want to pray for me are always appreciated!! :-)
Also, I would love you to consider whether you could help financially towards the ticket to South Africa, whether it is a small or large amount. I need to raise around £700 for the plane ticket. If you are not in a position to give, please could you pray that God provides for all I need.
Love to you all, and massively huge thanks for your prayers in advance.
May God get you with His outrageous love!!
Matt Davies :-D'
So there it is exciting stuff :-) I will keep you all updated on here and blog about the trips I go on.... one is already overdue from the first trip, but it will be with you soon! Love to you all. :-)

Whats going on????

What isn't going on? Definitely update time, I felt like I wanted to share a bit about whats been going on in my life.
It seems like the past few weeks/months have been mental. I seem to have a lot on my plate and truthfully am unsure of how I am managing to keep it all together and slowly managing to do all the things I am.
I have got some work doing building labour which is an hour's commute away so the days I work are long, am looking for alternative work as I don't think I can keep it up full time.
A lot of my thoughts are tied up in getting the campervan moved forward, I started to restore a 1967 Splitscreen campervan with my dad at the end of last summer and when my dad died at the beginning of the year I became project manager!! So I have been doing a lot of learning and had the responsibility of finishing it. I'm so thankful to one of my really good friends dad 'Mark' as he has given me the confidence, encouragement and time to help me know that we can finish it! The picture below is pretty much what it looks like currently, you can see there is a fair way to go!

Then there is my increased responsibility in the youth group 'Revelation' that I help at, with preparing the next teaching series we will be doing and also more talks/workshops to the groups we have, it gives me such a good place to get better in speaking to groups and grow in the gifts i have got. I'm so passionate about seeing the younger people get involved and see them walk out their lives with the one who IS everything! Jesus :-) Also being involved int the church band playing the drums and other percussive things has been such a great outlet in creativity although sometimes very frustrating!
So as you can see these are just extra things on top of everyday life that I'm doing, sometimes I feel exhausted other times I wonder when I can do more of the things I love, I think I just need to get a healthy balance between all the things I do whilst keeping some time for myself.

ANyway I think thats enough of me for the moment. Phew!! See you soon. :-)

So I have entered into this missions trip, with Reinhard Bonnke. Looks pretty cool in the last decade they have seen over 52 million people come to Jesus! And thats only the ones that were recorded!

Snowballing Godly Madness!

Ok, I've just started a training school 2 days a week in Bedford and it's to be trained in living a naturally supernatural life! Pretty Awesome!

In the first few sessions when we were worshipping God some pretty exciting pictures and prophetic words were given. The one that stuck out in my mind was a picture which was about a snowball at the top of hill starting to roll down the hill and as it went it got bigger and the weight of it carried it with increasing momentum so it was getting faster and faster! At the top we were all standing and cheering, jumping up and down etc (i.e getting excited about it!) So as I come back to stortford on the friday and turn up at the youth group for our church, I hear about how in the college age community group the previous night one of the girls who had ben suffering from a month long headache was prayed for and got totally healed!

That evening Nic (the youth leader) asked for anyone who was ill to come forward to be prayed for, one of the youth came forward and asked to be prayed for as she had a perforated ear drum, after praying 5 or 6 times for the pain to go, she was completely healed of all the pain she had in her Ear!! YeeeeHahhhh!

After the youth group, I left for a weekend away to Suffolk with a small group. We arrived and the next morning went for a walk led by Mr Pete Williams. Whilst walking along this incredibly dangerous designated footpath (basically I wasn't paying attention to what I was treading on) I went over on my ankle and kind of danced/walked it off and just ignored any pain there was. Once we completed the 5 mile walk and arrived back at our huge house (Orlando - the picture above) I sat down and after 5 mins stood back up and realised that once my ankle was in loads of pain i.e i was limping around. I went up to the lounge to sit down found Amy and Nic in there reading, i told them about what had happened and Amy offered to pray. They both prayed for the pain to go in Jesus Name. i stood up to see if any thing had shifted...... no pain, no limping, my full weight on the previously 'dodgy' foot! Awesome God!
Seems like in my world the snowball has started rolling. :-)

Prostitute on Holiday!

At last, I've finally come to my first post. Im glad its a story about how God interrupted a prostitutes life on her night working in Mallorca. The story is how God used me to show his love to a woman, without me really clocking what was going on at the time.
Whilst on holiday in Magalluf with 4 friends, I was walking alone back up the hill to our hotel, when out of a side street a North African woman grabs my arm and starts asking me if I would give her money for her services. After I refused, without thinking and not of my own boldness or thinking I directly say 'You need Jesus'. In an instance she switched and her facial expression changed to a look of slight shock and says to me in her North African accent, 'I have Jesus'. I was surprised when she said this and asked if she had accepted Jesus into her life and knew him, she confirmed that she did know Jesus and that she went to a church on the island. I started talking to her about how her prostituting herself was dishonoring herself and destroying her on the inside and then said 'Why do you do it?' She began to explain briefly how she didn't have enough money for food so she sold herself so she could buy food to survive. I started to tell her how God can provide for all our needs and said told her that she needed to start trusting in God for his provision. I asked what her name was and if i could pray for her in her situation and that she would start to know God as her provider and live in light of that. She said her name was Mary and she would like me to pray for her so I prayed for her what I said I would and afterwards she looked as if God had touched her heart. I decided to give her some money to buy some food and we said bye. How cool is that!

This didn't happen because I looked for people to pray for and it wasn't a boldness which I hyped myself up for but boldness from the Holy Spirit in that moment for that task in which I said what I said. I just believe that God wanted to encounter Mary on that night and I'm full of faith that God will continue to work in her life and provide for her needs. What a privilidge to play a part in bringing God's kingdom. :-)
